As an avid equestrian, I find joy in connecting my love for horses with others. I started riding in the beginning of 2020 during the pandemic, and still going strong. From having an allergy to them to overcoming it with sheer determination and persistence, I now represent my school at the Interscholastic Equestrian League.

Debate used to be the most scary activity for me. I quite literally believed I would get eaten alive. Four years later, I’ve found myself to be fond of Lincoln-Douglas debate, eventually representing my school at the National Speech and Debate tournament. Hope to continue my story of turning continuous losses into wins as a source of strength for others.

Growing up in Downtown Los Angeles, I’ve become aware of the systemic injustices increasing by the day. I took my experiences as the framework for my interests in law, developing a newfound passion for criminal justice throughout high school. After creating the initiative, Beyond Bars, where we work with LA County Libraries to donate books to prisons, I can’t wait to further my work at college and beyond.
